AIMP3 v3.5 Beta2 Build 1236

AIMP3がベータ２をリリースしました。
今回のバージョンでは、オーディオコンバーターに付加機能が追加されています。
Foobar2000にもあるように、「”All-to-one file” encoding mode」という一つのファイルにマルチトラックで出力できるモードが追加されつつあるようです。（マルチトラックタグ出力はできません。）
日本語化は、まだ完璧ではないですが、前回全く表示されなかった設定メニュー使えるようになっています。

* Audio Converter: Tags are now stored to WMA and WavPack formats via AIMP tags engine
* Audio Converter: Only common information about the tracks is now stored to the file tags during “All-to-one file” encoding mode
* Player: Response time of the window in “desktop toolbar” mode during adding files via drag-n-drop operation has been decreased
* Player: Playlists reading speed has been increased by 25%
* Skin Engine: Compatibility with old skins has been improved
* Skin Engine: Rendering speed has been increased due caching of the background elements

– Fixed: Simple Scheduler – the state of “shutdown the computer” option isn’t stored

– Fixed: The tag editor stores two copies of cover art to the file in FLAC format
– Fixed: Skin Engine – information in QFI isn’t refreshed in some cases

今回のアップデートでは、サウンドエンジンに対するコメントがありませんが、徐々に変わってきています。
悪く無いですが、主には、悪評の高い、女性ボーカルの艶やかさに主眼を置いているようで、そういった意味では、AIMP3のウイークポイントが改良されつつある動きをしているようです。
反面、楽器の泡立ち感が損なわれているように感じますが、そこら辺は、何処かで折り合いを付けなければならないので、難しいところでしょう。総じて、ダイナミカルで力強く、それでいて耳障りなところがなく、パワーサウンドでも無いといったそこそこ流行りの音になっている印象です。

ベータ３を出すか出さないか、微妙な位置に居ると思います。

余談ですが素晴らしい音がするスピーカーです。
質量感があり、コンパクトなので、お勧めです。

AIMP v3.50 Build 1224 Beta 1

音のいいAIMP3が、お約束通り、日本時間の2月1日にベータリリースを開始しました。
アナウンス通りのユーザーインターフェースの改良が中心になっているようです。
サウンドエンジンに対する改良は、以下３点です。
大きな変更点は、WASAPI対応と思われる i32V24サンプルフォーマットへの対応を行なっている点のようだが、要は、ロスレスサンプリングで何処までの音が再生できるかという点ですが、本気でサポートしているとなると、今時のサウンドカードを使って音を聞いてみる必要がありそうです。先ずは、基本の４４.1ｋ 16Bitがきちんと再生できていなければ、意味がありませんので、微妙なところです。
その他は、クロスフェーダーとイコライザー周辺の追加改良なので、本命は、i32V24対応ということでしょう。

注目の音質に関してですが、変化があるように思います。

早速、聴いてみたところ、今のところ、かなり良くなっているようです。
主観としては、音がクリアーになって、音の輪郭と楽器のスッキリとした泡立ちを感じさせる音作りといったところでしょうか。悪く無いです。

※なお、今回のベータリリースでは、日本語化がまだ追いついていない部分があるようで、オプションメニュー（設定メニュー）の一部の文字が表示されないので、念のため、人柱として報告しておきます。
→英語モードでは操作可能なので、使えないことはないですが・・
